The Central Coast MIT Enterprise Forum is pleased to present our November program.\n\nCabrillo Pavillion Arts Center\n1118 E. Cabrillo Blvd.\nSanta Barbara, CA 93103\n\nProgram Details\nThe evening will open with a keynote presentation by Dr. Klaus Schauser, founder of Citrix Online (formerly ExpertCity); INSERT INTO events2 (id, isopen, title, location, briefdescrip, ldescription, date, [current], attendees, map, [time], capacity, reminders, doorpay) VALUES on the history, impact, and future opportunity of Open Source software development. Immediately thereafter, Mike Sheffey, CEO of Versora, a Santa Barbara-based Open Source software start-up, will present his company's business model and development plans before a panel of experts. The panelists, including Dr. Schauser Bob Johnson, Managing Partner of Founders Capital Partners and Bern Galvin, an open source software industry consultant; will critique the presentation, offering advice and insights into the world of launching a successful company in today's market. Following the panel discussion, members of the audience will have the opportunity to address questions to both the company and the panelists.\n \nAbout the Central Coast MIT Enterprise Forum\n \nThe Central Coast MIT Enterprise Forum is a non-profit organization committed to the promotion of entrepreneurial innovation and the sharing of knowledge and expertise. The Forum addresses the critical business issues of emerging growth companies by selecting a panel of local entrepreneurs, as well as business executives and industry experts, to discuss the topics before an audience of fellow entrepreneurs and interested business professionals. The Forum provides a network for entrepreneurs, serves as a resource to the community, and promotes the cultivation of individuals and businesses.
